When the Shruti Box Called Me
I wasn’t looking for a Shruti Box.
And yet the moment I encountered her…I felt a strong pull.
Not interest.
Not curiosity. But recognition.
The Magnetism of Resonance
It felt like:
- a gentle pull
- something inside me leaning forward
- a quiet knowing before thought
There was no real question.
Only this: “This belongs with me”, and I listened.
A Familiar Frequency
What struck me most was this:
It didn’t feel new. It felt familiar.
Like something I had known before, worked with before, understood without needing to learn. This wasn’t about acquiring an instrument. This was about remembering a frequency.
When the Shruti Box Becomes a Sacred Partner
The Shruti Box creates a continuous tone, steady, unwavering.
But what I experience is far beyond sound. It holds a field.
A field I can step into, align with, and expand within.
Sound as Partnership
When I chant or tone with the Shruti Box, I am not making sound alone.
I am joining a frequency that is already present.
There is a moment where:
- my voice and the tone meet
- effort dissolves
- and the sound begins to carry me\
The Shruti Box holds the foundation, and my voice rides the wave.
Opening Consciousness
As I chant—sacred sounds, tones, Reiki symbols—something begins to shift.
The mind quiets.
The body softens.
Awareness expands.
There are moments where:
- I feel beyond the edges of myself
- my field becomes wider
- and I enter a deep inner stillness
At times, this opens into a gentle, natural state of bliss.
Reiki Within the Sound
When Reiki is brought into this space, everything deepens.
Now there is:
- the tone of the Shruti Box
- the vibration of my voice
- the flow of Reiki within the sound
The sound becomes the carrier. Reiki becomes the intelligence within it. I am no longer just channeling Reiki. I am within it.
Expansion of the Field
In these moments, I can feel:
- my energy field expanding
- the body softening
- a sense of coherence throughout
The boundaries of self become less defined, and the experience becomes one of presence and awareness.
What I Now Understand
I am not collecting instruments.
I am assembling a field.
Each one carries:
- a frequency
- a role
- a doorway into consciousness
The gong.
The Shruti Box. They are not separate pieces. They are part of a coherent whole.
A Final Reflection
I often say…
I don’t own these instruments.
They chose where they wanted to be.
I simply listened.
An Invitation
If you ever feel drawn to something you can’t explain pause. Instead of questioning it immediately, ask:
“What is this showing me about myself?” Because sometimes, what calls to us
is not something new. It is something within us waiting to be remembered.
